• KingsHaven, Woodbridge Furniture and Taylor King Announce Virtual Design Challenge

May 07, 2020

Calling all Designers!

Up for a design challenge?

Seeking to inspire and support the design community during this difficult time caused by the coronavirus, we have partnered with two of our favorite design product brands to bring you an exciting Virtual Design Challenge unlike any we’ve seen.

We, at KingsHaven, invite our designer clients and designer friends to participate in creating digital floorplan designs, showcasing their interpretations of the quintessential, luxurious Paris living room!

This is a great time to have a little fun with an industry-wide competition, and the grand winner will enjoy a special award and raising funds for his or her favorite philanthropic cause.

Conceptualized by our friends with Woodbridge Furniture, we are honored to join them and Taylor King as co-sponsors of the Virtual Design Challenge.

Ready to get started? Here’s how it will work…

The contest invites interior designers to virtually create a luxurious Paris living room, using case goods, dining and occasional furniture from Woodbridge Furniture; light fixtures from KingsHaven; and upholstery from Taylor King.

  • Helpful tip: See below for a selection of our 13 newest and most popular light fixtures. You may specify any of these in your design.

The “budget” for creating these Paris-inspired living rooms is unlimited. Participants are encouraged to use their most inspired ideas and creative imaginations.

The grand-prize winner will receive an award of $2,250. The prize consists of $750 in cash, $750 in product credit from the three contest sponsors, and a $750 donation to a charity of the winner’s choice.

In addition, five semifinalists will each have their designs brought to life by Danae Designs in a one-of-a-kind watercolor rendering. Ten semifinalists will win a private Zoom cocktail party with well-known designers Tobi Fairley and Lauren Liess.

To participate in the contest, designers can simply submit a Google Doc or PowerPoint presentation of up to four slides depicting their dream Paris living room. Each submission must be created using product from the three contest sponsors.

Send your entry via email by May 31, 2020, to Woodbridge Furniture’s Cass Key. Her email address is: cass@woodbridgefurniture.com

Winners will be announced on June 10.
